I just installed a pair of the Denali D3's along with the hi/low/off switch on my Suzuki DR650. The installation was pretty easy and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. So last night on the way home it got dark so I turned the D3s on "low." Wow! They throw so much light on dark, forested roads it was brighter than daylight. Then I tried the "high" setting and that was brighter than I will probably ever need. Amazing! I'm looking forward to these lasting as long as my first set of Denalis (a pair of DR1's that are still going strong after 10 years). Great products.

We're glad you love them! The D3 is my favorite of our light pods. One note, you may get better results from swapping those lenses. Typically you'll want the Hybrid lens on the throttle side and the Spot lens on the clutch side when you're using one of each lens.
-Alex with Denali
I’ve installed the Denali D3 together with the Denali D7 Pro, SoundBomb Horn, and Mini SoundBomb, and overall I’m very happy with the setup.
The D3 lights are excellent, especially when paired with the D7 Pro. They produce great light output, the build quality is outstanding, and they integrate perfectly with the Denali system.
The only minor issue I’ve noticed is with the internal rubber membrane that creates the arrow-shaped beam pattern. During the initial throttle input, when the engine vibrates the most, this rubber piece vibrates as well, making it look like the light itself is shaking. It doesn’t affect performance or light output, but it’s noticeable.
Other than that small issue, everything else is fantastic. I would definitely recommend the Denali D3 to anyone looking for high-quality auxiliary lights.
Great lights, exactly as advertised. I have a 2023 Harley Ultra Limited, and was worried with the plastic lower farings the lights would not be protected by the engine guards. Bought the Denali mounting brackets, and they were perfect. Entire system contained within the guards. Better visibility for me and drivers trying to turn into me. Thank You!
Haven't rode on any totally dark roadsyet, but I really love the strobe effect then I know I'm being seen by those 4 wheel, phone talking, makeup applying drivers.
I am very impressed with the D3 driving lights, high quality and very bright! They definitely increase daytime visibility to other drivers/riders, which makes for safer riding. And the increase in nighttime visibility is excellent. The yellow hybrid lenses are installed in the pictures.
The D3s matched the look of the bike and greatly improved my ability to see at night.
They were a challenge to wire on my particular model of bike, but it was worth the extra effort.
The staff at Denali was very helpful in guiding my light selection. Instructions were easy to follow. I am pleased with the quality of the products and have already ordered more items.
Great lights for the size. Setup and connections to my CanSmart controller was quick and easy. The default lens has a tight spot that supplements the headlight well. I have them tuned to 50% brightness during the day and 20% at night so I don’t blind other drivers. When activated with the high beams, they hit 100% brightness and pierce the dark like a knife.
The pic shows my old led pods in the left compared to the D3 on the right. Huge improvement!
My only complaint is the lights and lenses are intended to be installed with mount at the bottom but I needed to mount them on the side. Would be great if the led pod and lens could be turned to accommodate as I would love to use the hybrid lenses.
When I bought these D3 LED Driving Light Pods to put on my "NEW TO ME" 2009 BMW R1200RT, I didn't have crash bars. The 2009RT's aren't really Aux light friendly if you don't have crash bars to mount to. I wanted my D3's with Yellow lenes up higher anyway for better line of sight for oncoming traffic. I did find some "under the turn signals mounting brackets" from one of Denali's competitors. (Shhhhhhh)
Anyway, using CANsmart controller and these D3's was so easy (even for an old 65 yr like myself) They were PLUG and PLAY. The lights are @ 50% while driving with your low beams on. As soon as you flip on your high beams,,,, these D3's go to 100% automatically.
The CANsmart has an extra set of wires that allow you to run a 2nd set of Aux lights. ( Which now I'm thinking I may do and mount them using the Denali bar mount brackets now that i have crash bars ). They CANsmart also has a hook up for their Sound Bomb horns and an extra hook up wire for their LED stop light.
These lights are very bright @ 50% and extremely bright @ 100%.
Would definitely recommend these !!! 👍👍
My D3 lights with Hybrid lens (yellow) were installed by MotoGhost in Phoenix. I am primarily concerned about visibility (particularly when lane sharing in CA, which I visit regularly) & the Denali lights certainly keep me visible. I love the integration with BMW controls. The blinker switch when pressed turns the lights off & the wunderwheel controls brightness. I plan on adding a Denali sound bomb horn & tail LED soon.
G'day the Hardest part of installation was removing the fairings to run plug n play CANBUS cables. Instructions leaflet was so easy to follow for different configurations and I love how are able to use bikes existing switches to control the spot and driving lights.. Yes they are expensive but build quality and performance is paramount cheers 🍻
Everything was perfect. Super high quality lights, lenses, wires, and switches. Obviously designed and conceived by riders who have lived with the details of construction, installation, and usage on the road.
However: While I was able to access a Youtube video about installation procedures, I would like to have had some written instructions with an alert to my reality that once I clicked the light wire socket into the. wiring harness mains there was going to be no getting them apart even though there was as tab that would release them. Call me a wimp, I just didn't want to break the connectors. Thankfully they were in as good a spot as possible on my bike...
These lights are phenomonal in getting seen. They are controlable on brightness through the hexcan controller to keep from blinding traffic but make you hard to miss. then when you hit your high beams the D3 lights really make the road visable and provide a better context when riding at night. The brackets for the K1600 provide the ideal mounting location so that the turn signals on that bike are not lost in the lights. I was able to use the bracket to mount the front camera for my dash cam as well.
The amount of light that these lights throw out there is amazing, I’ve had other Denali lights and loved how the light pattern is and how you can change the pattern.
Installing the lights and cansmart controller was very easy.
The harness was straightforward to install, the lights are bright as the sun, and I love the data dim feature so that I can be seen during the day, but I’m not blinding oncoming drivers at night. At full brightness, these lights really light up the road.
Have loved the D7s for several years, and I wish I had added the D3s with hybrid yellow lens much sooner. With the D3s, there is no more turning into the unknown; they light around the bends!! Highly recommend!!
I asked for and got the brightest DOT approved lights out there. They work perfectly for both conspicuity and additional illumination. My AT’s LED headlights are lacking for night riding. These really help. Thanks, Denali reps for taking the time to help me one-on-one with my choices.
I bought two sets of D3 lights. I am really pleased with them. The installation was relatively easy, and the EZcan software is simple to use. The lights are bright!
I installed a pair of D3 driving pods and an auxiliary LED brake light. The beam patterns of the D3's are excellent and the output levels and functions of the D3 lights and LED brake light are easily programmable and adaptable to varying situations. A significant enhancement in safety and conspicuity.
Store owner replied:
Hey Todd, the two types of lenses are explained in the D3 Driving Light's instructions, see Section 2! In regards to mounting D3 Pods on their side, you can mount them in any orientation when the Spot lens is installed. When the Hybrid lens is installed, you can only mount the pods upright or upside down.
